he said a gentleman lets girls go first, and it turns out that at nap time every afternoon the boys, you know, wait for the girls to use the toilet, and it just seemed -- it seemed absurd to me that in this environment in preschool of all places where we are trying to teach them how to take turns, how to share, which nobody wants to do. it just seems crazy to me at this point in our lives to say to them, this isn't fair, girls go first. >> i grew up in a house where my dad -- i never saw my mom touch a door. my dad always opened the car door, and my brother saw it from a very young age and watched it, and i don't think it's just about that. i think it makes them better men all the way around because they're just more mindful. especially you want the man who ends up being your husband to be a gentleman, and that is my thought. >> i think -- and that should be really the point of it and why i sort of agree with you on this. we teach them to be gentlemen, and we also have to teach them respect. it's not about being sexist or having to protect girls.

at the same time we don't want girls to feel entitled because we want them to also feel equal, so it's a balance. i think that we should teach our boys to be gentlemen, and also teach our girls to be gentlewomen too. >> mutual respect. >> i am sort of advocating for is this idea of more countrisy in the world, not less. it's not that i think that boys shouldn't, you know, open doors for girls. i think they should open doors for whoever gets to the door first. >> i kind of like it when i'm in an elevator and the guy stands to the side. i like it. i'm into it. i'm, like, what a guy. i think highly of him. >> i work in a building, right, where we all get off on the sixth floor. predominantly male. they always step aside and let me get on first. >> i like that. >> now we're on the sixth floor, and there are, you know, seven men in front of me who all have to push to the side. >> it's okay. >> it seems silly to me. >> it just -- i would like my son to be able to sort of treat everybody equally. i want him to treat everyone kindly.

and it's coming back in. it will be a bigger storm that moves across the country later in the week. which you'll see here in just a moment. 8 that's as warm as we'll get today in the twin cities. 25 in chicago. 20s and teens in the northeast way below average. we're going to stay below freezing here right on into early next week. 52 in atlanta, 64 in denver, mild air across front range. westerly wind coming in. 59 in albuquerque, still warm in southern california and across arizona. that's the place to go to beat the cold air this time of year. rain will start to make its way into the southern part of california by thursday. that's going to cool things off just a bit. and we'll see the cold air make its way all the way into the mid south. so on thursday we're only at freezing in louisville 52 in atlanta but 70s down here the farther south you get. as far as the snow goes, friday may see some snow around louisville. even in the chicago area
